This is a picture of my dog, New Moon's Inspector Gadget (Gadget) and his father Cedar Ridge Evening Shayde (Shayde). Both are pure German Shepherd Dogs.
Gadget is the one on the right with the tipped-over ear and the white "star" on his chest.
This picture was taken in June of 1998 at Pet Fest in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin.

Gadget at about two weeks old
New Moon's Catch a Rising Star(Starbuck) and New Moon's Reno(Reno) a few weeks old in the "birthing pool". Starbuck is a pituitary dwarf. You can see more of him on my main page.
Gadget, Reno and Starbuck (snuggled on top) a few days old in their "puppy pile" configuration. As you can see, Starbuck knew how to "use" his brothers for heat!
Starbuck also had megaesophogus, so he had trouble swallowing correctly (though he was ingenious and figured out all sorts of ways to overcome that problem!). Consequently, he'd have trouble swallowing milk and it would come out his nose at times. Here he is with his trade mark "milk moustache".
